I believe there are no losers in life. Some just win to a lesser degree. Whether it is a sporting event or perhaps a sales contest, the winner is put up on a pedestal and we say that they are great. I have been involved in sales promotions where maybe two or three
people really try and the other ten just plug along. Was the winner of that contest truly great or were the other people they were competing against that bad?

Only when you compete against yourself can you push yourself to be the very best. PowerAchieving is about you. Only you can be responsible for your own talent. Only you can be accountable for your own actions. Only you can control your own work ethic. If you are in a race and pay more attention to the others around you in the race, you will be distracted and run slower.
If you are focused on the other people in the race, you are not free to run your own race. There is a phrase in sports that carries over into life. It is “play within yourself”. This means use the talents that God gave you to do what you do best. Don’t try to hit home runs if you are not a power hitter. Do what you do best. You are the best “you” there will ever be.
